SAPPHO | ORIGINAL

Based on the fragments of Sappho.

SAPPHO, b. ca. 630 and d. ca. 570 BC, poet and musician from Mytilene, Lesbos, maybe born in Eresos, maybe married to "Kerikles", maybe mother of Kleïs, definitely exiled around 604 to Sicily, returning to her home in ca. 595 where she continued to perform her lyric poetry at weddings and other social gatherings until her death. She may have led a school for young women of high class, and she may have been the lover of some of these women. Very little is known for sure, I take the mythos and make a character of it.
